JA.Marie began dancing from the time she could walk. She received her early training in Caribbean, Modern, Ballet, & Hip Hop at Ballet Creole, her fathers company. She continued her training with the kids company (Kids Creole) up until high school, where she attended the Regional Arts Program that was offered and Majored in dance with a focus on Ballet, Modern & Jazz. Upon graduation, she attended York University’s Dance program for a year where she met Janice Ellis & performed along side her in York’s Competitive Hip Hop Crew, (called 'Stylewize' at the time) she then took the next year to tour with Ballet Creole’s Professional Performance Company, performing in schools across the GTA as well as in the Fo’an Fanmi Festival in Guadeloupe in 2015. JA.Marie has since expanded her passion for performance art into the Musical Theatre world.

She is a recent graduate of Randolph College for the Performing Arts’ Triple Threat Program where she gained training as well as tips & tricks from industry professionals such as Syreeta Hector, Ray Hogg, Thom Allison & many more. On March 3rd, she closed her run of Once On This Island at the Lower Ossington Theatre, (Directed by Janelle Cooper), Choreographed by Lisa Auguste, Music Directed by Mike Ross) & she is excited to step into this new path in her career. JA.Marie is a passionate performer with a clear understanding of Industry Expectations at this time in Toronto. She hopes to guide the younger generations & provide them with all the fundamental tools necessary both physical & mentally to succeed in their passions.
