Sarah Anthony

Sarah Anthony, a graduate of the DancEast Professional Program and featured artist with the DancEast Young Company, has appeared annually in the
DancEast & Friends' The Nutcracker from 1993-2000. Throughout the years she
has performed widely in Canada, as well as in the United States, notably at the International Children's Festival in Washington D.C. and at the Wolf Trap Art Park in Virginia. In addition to serving as a senior instructor at the DancEast Dance Centre from 1997-2001, Ms Anthony has also collaborated with various regional artists on a wide variety of projects.

In spring 2000, she joined the Cameron MacMaster Contemporary Dance Company and performed in its premiere production of the Pale Frailness of Moths. The following year, she collaborated with regional choreographer-dancer Manon Melanson and Renée Rioux to create an evening of duet and solo work entitled Ego Sum. In October 2001, this production received critical acclaim at the
Gala des Éloizes.

In the fall of 2001, Ms Anthony became co-artistic director of Entre-Deux along with Ms Melanson. She is presently living in Toronto and has been
performing with COBA (Collective of Black Artists).
