Debbie Y. Nicholls, born of Bajan heritage,
and
considers herself "a baby to the world of dance," while enthusiastic to learn
all forms of dance culture. She began formal dance training in July of 1997 with COBA and
was
subsequently been offered apprenticeship to the Company. A company member with the
Collective the past 4 years, Debbie has performed with B.O.C.C. Youth Group, Hummingbirds and Caribbean Folk
Performers. She is a license Massage Therapist and sees the coming years as a new
beginning: mentally, physically and spiritually. Learning more about her own culture
allows her to appreciate and value other cultures. She is very grateful to God for
blessing her, allowing her to express herself in an extremely fulfilling manner, and hopes
to continue for many more years.
