COBA YOUTH ENSEMBLE (CYE)
FOSTERING EXCELLENCE THROUGH THE PERFORMING ARTS

COBA Youth Ensemble (CYE) was founded in September of 2003, and is dedicated to fostering excellence through the performing arts. This ensemble is an extension of COBA Children’s Dance and Drumming Program, which offers expert training in dance and music for children 3 to 15yrs old.

COBA Youth Ensemble performs works from African and Caribbean traditions along with contemporary creations to offer audiences diversity through dance and music.

The Ensemble as performed for numerous charity functions including the Sickle Cell Association of Canada and also representing Canada at the World Youth Aids Conference in 2004. 

 COBA Youth Ensemble serves as a reminder to all youth that the performing arts can transform and shape their identity through discipline, commitment and expression. This is evident in the Ensemble’s highly spirited performances and off stage activities that reflect unity, friendship and self-awareness.
